It is also able to slow down the development of certain types of lesions on the skin by using its ascorbic acid content.

People who have a deep tissue infection or skin ulcers might also benefit from royal jelly, too. When royal jelly is used as an ointment, it has the potential to heal certain types of infections and lacerations, as it contains antibacterial properties. In addition, it has anti-inflammatory properties, too.

Do the health benefits of royal jelly extend to dealing with abnormal growths, too?

Indeed, royal jelly could even be beneficial when it comes to delaying the growth of tumors. It had effects on sarcoma cells when used on laboratory mice by Japanese researchers. The mice's lifespan were increased by 1/5, and their tumor sizes were smaller, in comparison with those mice that were not treated with royal jelly.

How can you harness the health benefits of royal jelly?

You can typically find royal jelly in liquids, elixir, capsules, and chewable tablets at most health food stores. For the most part, it is either fresh or freeze dried, and there are proponents of each type.

Fresh royal jelly is usually more expensive than freeze dried, although freeze dried might be easier to find and, if you're on a budget, could be friendlier on your wallet as well.
