Natural Cellulite Home Remedies

Looking for some natural cellulite home remedies?

Let’s face it, nobody likes cellulite. To many, cellulite gives the outward appearance of how in-shape a person is. While we know that cellulite is inevitable for many and it’s hereditary in most cases, that doesn’t make it any more attractive.

For ages, people have sought a solution for cellulite. There are creams and lotions that claim to reduce the appearance of cellulite, but these are only temporary remedies and not a permanent fix for cellulite. Not to mention that many of these cellulite remedies aren’t natural and can contain ingredients that you’re not comfortable with putting on your body.

So, what kinds of home remedies for cellulite are out there that a person can use safely and effectively, that also contain natural ingredients? They are certainly out there; it’s just a matter of finding them.

A note about Natural Cellulite Home Remedies

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

Before you can properly treat your cellulite, you need to know what it is. Really, cellulite is just fat that is stored in a different way than in the rest of your body. The areas where cellulite appear in women are around the thighs, buttocks, abdomen and breasts. As women age, these areas can get a “cottage cheese” look, because the swollen fat pockets bulge through the skin.

There are natural cellulite home remedies that are effective, but the answer doesn’t lie in topical treatments. To effectively treat your cellulite, you will need to take a total body approach.

  • Consider a cellulite remedy that women have used for ages - coffee grinds. Rub warm coffee grinds onto your cellulite. Most of it will fall to the floor, but it will leave a residue. Wrap these areas in plastic wrap and let it sit for about 10 minutes. For even stronger results, use a rolling pin to roll out the area while it’s sitting in the plastic wrap. By doing this two times weekly, the caffeine and plastic wrap will help to detoxify the area and remove excess water that cellulite laden areas can hold.

  • Another natural cellulite home remedy that can be effective when used regularly is juniper berries and horsetail herb. By crushing the berries and herb together in a bowl and covering with a small amount of boiling water, the mixture can be used as a type of wash to apply to cellulite areas with a sponge and massaged, or it can be used as a bath additive. This mixture can also be added to body lotion and used as a cellulite treatment.

  • Another highly effective natural cellulite home remedy is to get plenty of exercise. When you get lots of cardio and weight training exercise, you will be helping your body to burn off extra fat, strengthening the underlying muscle in areas that hold cellulite and reducing the appearance of that stuff that we all find unattractive. If you already work out, consider kicking your cardio up to about 60 minutes six times weekly and your weight routine up to about 30 minutes three times weekly.

When seeking cellulite home remedies, it’s also important to eat healthy foods and drink lots of green tea, as, in addition to all its other amazing properties, green tea will act as a diuretic and help to prevent water retention.

Relax; nearly every woman has cellulite after a certain age. It’s really a fact of life. By staying healthy and using other natural cellulite remedies, however, you can dramatically reduce the appearance of cellulite on your body and will likely even get results that you can be proud of.
