A note about Anti Endometriosis Diet Tips - Relief through Food Choices

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue that belongs only in the uterus is found in other parts of the body. These usually appear in the form of lesions and can be found all over in the pelvic region. They can show up on fallopian tubes, on the ovaries, and in the pelvic sidewall.

Many of the symptoms of endometriosis occur during the time of menstruation, so it can be hard to know that you’re dealing with endometriosis and not just the typical symptoms that occur with a monthly period. These symptoms can include:

  • Severe pain before and during menstruation. This can occur any time during a woman’s cycle and can also occur during ovulation.

  • Pain (during menstruation) in the bowel area.

  • Pain when urinating and during or after sexual intercourse.

  • Constipation or diarrhea when menstruating.

  • Abdominal bloating around the time of menstruation.

  • Heavy or irregular bleeding

If you have lots of these symptoms, you may be suffering from endometriosis.

There are many different treatments for endometriosis, but one option that is becoming more popular is the endometriosis diet, which some say can help to reduce and in some cases even eliminate your symptoms.

The proper anti endometriosis diet can help you to reduce your endometriosis symptoms by reducing the amount of bad prostaglandins your body makes, and by increasing your body’s production of good prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are hormones that are made by estrogen and while the bad kinds have been linked to many of the painful symptoms of endometriosis, the good kind is responsible for the opposite.

Here are some tips for a good anti endometriosis diet.

  • Eat more fiber. Fiber has been linked to many aspects of good health, but recently, it’s also been shown to reduce the amount of estrogen in your body. Consider eating more whole grains, brown rice, beans and fruits and veggies to get an optimum amount of fiber in your diet.

  • Get more omega 3 fatty acids in your diet. Things like salmon, walnuts, fish oil and flaxseed oil can help to produce more of the good prostaglandins in your body, which will help to eliminate your painful symptoms.

  • Reduce your dairy intake, as many of the fats found in dairy products can cause the two negative kinds of prostaglandins to flourish, which will in turn cause your painful endometriosis symptoms to flare up. Consider other sources of calcium instead.

  • Cut out meat as much as possible. Meat from animals contains fats that can cause your symptoms to get worse.

These are just a few anti endometriosis diet tips to help you reduce your symptoms. The good news here is that you can almost completely eliminate your endometriosis symptoms simply by following a few basic dietary changes.
