A note about Natural Hepatitis C Treatments

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

Hepatitis C is just like any other hepatitis virus that causes liver inflammation. It is, however, different in that it endures for a longer period in the body and can be the most devastating of all the viruses. It is triggered to cause havoc in the body by a number of things, such as irritation due to bacterial infections, cancer, drugs and alcohol.

According to health researchers, most hepatitis C patients develop chronic conditions that may be fatal. It is therefore advisable that when you have been diagnosed with hepatitis C, you work hard to keep it under control.

Hepatitis C cannot go away completely, though there are alternative hepatitis C treatments that can help you greatly. When the liver is infected, you become susceptible to a number of diseases that include cancer, allergies, hemorrhoids, high cholesterol and varicose veins, amongst others. You also tend to suffer from anger and resentment. Despite the challenges, there are numerous options to overcome them so long as you have the resolve and you stick to it.

Natural hepatitis C treatments include taking lots of raw fruits and vegetables. Dark green foods, bitter vegetables, beets and red fruits are especially recommended, partly because they are high in fiber.

Generally, natural green foods are best when it comes to treating hepatitis C. Another important dietary measure in natural hepatitis C treatment is to increase your intake of fresh juicy fruits and water in order to keep your body dehydrated. Body building exercises are also recommended, though you should not overwork your body. Walking is the best exercise, especially when you conform to a consistent schedule.

As part of natural hepatitis C treatment, it is also recommended that you take herbs to support liver functions. A few excellent herbs include mushroom, milk thistle, peppers, burdock root, turmeric, green tea, artichoke and sun flower, amongst others. Remember, your body requires a well-balanced natural diet and it is important to take in adequate amounts while avoiding excesses.

Probably the good thing, if one could term it so, about hepatitis C is the length of time that it takes to become a problem in the body. Health professionals estimate that the length of time it takes from the time you get infected to the time you develop cirrhosis to be about 30 years. It becomes worse, however, if you consume excessive alcohol, are promiscuous without using protection or if you are a drug addict who shares needles.

The best natural defense against progressing to liver cirrhosis is to abstain completely from alcohol and always use protection when you have sex. Hepatitis C is primarily transmitted through blood, semen and other bodily fluids. You should also avoid prescription drugs, since they are processed through the liver and only make the liver weaker.

When suffering from hepatitis C, do the responsible thing by covering any cuts and other open sores you may have to prevent it from spreading.
