Best Exercise to Burn Fat - Key Points

What is the best exercise to burn fat?

There are a number of components to effective fat burning, but exercise is arguably the most integral aspect of ridding oneself of excess fat deposits. Because exercise has become quite commercialized and popularized in American culture, it can be difficult to discern the best way to burn fat; here, this very topic is discussed.

Excess fat deposits on the body are generally the result of insufficient calorie balance; that is, taking in more calories than one is able to burn. The calories are then converted for storage, and end up as excess mass on the body. Thus, the best exercise to burn fat is the exercise that burns the most calories and creates a more optimal calorie balance (i.e. one that causes fat loss).

It should be noted that a number of people make the claim that a certain type of exercise burns fat, which is true to a certain extent, but in terms of overall fat loss, exercises that maximize calorie burn are most appropriate as the best exercise to burn fat.

A note about Best Exercise to Burn Fat - Key Points

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

Because exercise is very much a subjective / individualized thing, it is important to understand that the most important part of effective exercise (especially that which is targeted at fat loss) is to push oneself.

Pending consult with a healthcare professional (especially if not fully healthy), of course, it is important to get a sense of one’s level of fitness and what constitutes “moderate” or “high impact” workouts for oneself. It is not useful to do a workout that doesn’t challenge, and certainly is not the best way to accomplish optimal fat loss; that would hardly be the best exercise to burn fat.

Aside from developing an awareness of how much you’re “putting in” to a workout, another option for accomplishing this is to purchase a heart rate monitor. These vary in sophistication (and price) but are a very worthwhile investment for many people.

Essentially, the best exercise to burn fat is one that increases heart rate (and therefore calorie burning). Some examples of this are spinning, jogging, high-impact aerobics, kick-boxing, jump-roping, etc.

Particularly if out of shape, interval training can be a great option; interval training refers to the increasing and decreasing of the heart rate. For example, one might jog for four minutes and walk for two.

It is important to develop one’s own style of working out, but the key components of fat-burning exercise are increased heart rate (many fitness experts recommend working out to the point where one cannot carry on a comfortable conversation), and consistency - which is why it’s important to make a choice that is right for you when choosing a workout.

Training that focuses on the muscular system is also a component of exercise that should not be ignored. Muscle is more metabolically active (it burns more calories when at rest) than other tissues, and therefore increasing muscle mass will also contribute to the loss of fat.

There are a wide variety of opinions on which exercises are the best for those who wish to lose fat. However, the fact remains that excess fat storage is the result of caloric imbalance, and in order for fat to be lost, more calories must be burned than are being taken in. The manner through which this is accomplished is open to individual interpretation, but, regardless of the workout which is chosen as one's personal best exercise to burn fat, consistency is a key.
