Constipation Natural Remedies - Home Treatment and Relief

Are you seeking effective constipation natural remedies?

There are many reasons why people get constipated. Diet will naturally play a major part, but so can any medications you might be taking.

Another cause of constipation is intestinal problems, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), which can cause either diarrhea or constipation during a flare up.

Stress and dehydration can also play roles when a person is constipated, so it goes without saying that when a person suffers from this problem frequently, the underlying cause of the problem needs to be addressed to find a permanent cure.

During a bout of constipation, however, what you’re concerned about is going to the bathroom. It can be worrisome. The body is left feeling full and uncomfortable because any foods you consume just add on to what’s already in your intestines.

A note about Constipation Natural Remedies - Home Treatment and Relief

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

When you’re not getting rid of your waste, your body isn’t able to eliminate the toxins in your body which ultimately build up. That’s why it’s important to have constipation natural remedies that you can use if you wind up suffering from this issue.

Don’t automatically run to the synthetic laxatives. Consider natural laxatives if you choose to go this route. They tend to be much easier and less harsh on the system.

And, instead of heading to the store right away, you should see if you have any of these remedies in your home. Since constipation often isn’t a lasting situation, many constipation natural remedies that you have on hand are a safe and effective solution.

  • Oil, any kind of vegetable oil or olive oil can help to lubricate the bowels and ease your constipation. Usually, about 3 tablespoons of this constipation natural remedy will do the trick, but if you don’t like taking it straight, consider making it into a salad dressing. Mix it up with lots of high fiber veggies and you should be relieved of your symptoms in no time.

  • Consider eating an apple about an hour after a meal to help relieve constipation.

  • Try one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with one teaspoon of honey in a glass of water.

  • Mix half a glass of carrot juice with half a glass of spinach juice for an effective natural constipation remedy.

  • Rhubarb pie is another good home remedy, since rhubarb is considered to be a laxative, but you should make sure that you don’t have too much sugar in it, as this can cause your problem to worsen.

  • For occasional constipation, drink a strong cup of coffee. The bitter flavor of the coffee will stimulate the colon and encourage a bowel movement.

  • Another natural home remedy for constipation is to have a cup of green tea. Make sure that it is only green tea, not green tea mixed with anything else. Add some honey for flavor and the additional laxative properties it contains.

  • Prune juice is one of the most potent constipation natural remedies. Be careful not to have too much at a go, though, as you may end up overdoing things.

The bottom line is that when you are constipated, you don’t have to jump to chemical laxatives to get the relief you need. In addition to these great home constipation natural remedies, you can make a mixture of psyllium seeds that you crush yourself and mix with one part flaxseed and one part oat bran. Add the mixture to water and have some each night for continued regularity.
