A note about Natural Infertility Treatment - Pros and Useful Remedies for FertilityIn natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases. In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies. While 2.4 million (40%) are infertile because of adhesions, blocked fallopian tubes or scarring, another 40% experience premature ovarian failure. The final 20% are infertile for unknown reasons or a combination of the other two. There are two forms of common treatment: natural methods and assisted reproductive techniques (ART) such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Both ART and natural infertility treatments have shown success in helping couples to conceive. Many couples opt to use both simultaneously to help ensure the best chance of success. The success rate of most couples conceiving using conventional medications and other therapies is good; however, such treatments are expensive and the side effects can be emotionally over powering. It is when these fail that couples turn to IVF, or Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection, ICSI, in which both methods make use of eggs that have been fertilized outside of the womb and frozen for future use. In both of these methods, the unborn child can, and often does, suffer from several genetic issues that seldom occur during the normal in-womb fertilization process. The holistic methods available today are becoming more popular for couples that not only cannot afford conventional methods, but do not want to take the chance of genetic issues developing. Holistic approaches examine all aspects of each couple in the effort to find underlying problems before planning for a cure. A holistic practitioner often has a better chance of being successful because they do not rely on just one cause, such as diet change, sexual position, or synthetic hormonal therapy. This is one great advantage of natural infertility treatment. Many couples learn that dietary as well as lifestyle choices play an important part in their ability to conceive. Eliminating coffee, tea, chocolate and other foods containing caffeine can be a boost, as it helps tremendously in uncovering other health conditions that are actually aggravated by the caffeine, and prohibiting fertility. As part of natural infertility treatment, avoid fish and other seafood (high levels of toxins in the water do cause severe genital problems in sea animals), as their high levels of pollutants have a significant effect on male and female fertility alike. Researchers have discovered that the fertility of a woman can be inhibited in less than 30 days of eating the pollutants and / or chemicals found in fish. To any natural infertility treatment protocol, add foods rich in folic acid, fatty acids, selenium, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin C and vitamin E for both men and women, as well as L-carnitine supplements for the male. Natural herbs that can be of help are red clover blossom, licorice and wild yam. Chaste berry can help in balancing the hormones, while dong quai helps with menstrual problems and in balancing estrogen levels. For men, saw palmetto is recommended; also, foods rich in folic acid, which in turn are good sources of the B vitamins, should be consumed - green leafy vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Siberian ginseng is useful for the reproductive system, helping in blood circulation, supporting the reproductive organs, as well as balancing hormonal levels and libido.
