External Uses of Aloe Vera

There are several topical and external uses of aloe vera which leverage on the positive effects which the plant has on the skin.

Aloe Vera Soap and Aloe Vera Cream for Acne

One can reduce acne by regular use of aloe vera soaps, since it contains a combination of aloe vera gel and aloe vera extract. People suffering from acne should use aloe vera soaps at least two times in a day as this will help in keeping the skin dry for a long time.

Aloe vera cream also reduces the inflammation and infection of the areas affected by acne. It is not true that aloe vera completely removes acne but it helps in reducing redness, flaky skin and inflammation if applied daily.

One can also use aloe vera in liquid form and apply it to the affected area with cotton. Cleansing the area with aloe vera soap can follow this. A single application of aloe vera cream after using soap should reduce acne symptoms considerably.

A note about External Uses of Aloe Vera

Herbs are God and nature's gifts to us. While the use of herbs and herb remedies has brought excellent results for many people, do note that their health benefits may be limited when they are used in isolation. However, when combined with some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition, the impact on one's health will be greatly magnified.

In natural health and healing, we believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases. We also believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man’s understanding. It is thus a good idea to apply these fundamental health steps no matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem.

Types of Aloe Vera Bar Soap

Another of the uses of aloe vera is to make soaps. Some aloe vera bars include all natural ingredients and do not include any animal ingredients, artificial colors and chemicals. They contain ingredients such as citric acid, saponified olive oil, aloe vera, water, sodium chloride and fragrance. People who have irritable dry skin can try using such aloe vera bars.

Another type of aloe vera bar includes specific ingredients such as hemp oil, peppermint oil, vitamin E, lavender oils, olive fatty acids, rosemary extract and more. Such a product can be used on babies since it is gentle on the skin and effectively cleanses and moisturizes baby skin.

Aloe Vera Cream and Lotion

Yet another way to use aloe vera is in making aloe vera cream, which is extremely helpful in fighting against ecological stress and is considered a natural cleanser, moisturizer and healing agent for skin on the face and other exposed areas of the body. It is prepared from the aloe vera plant, and helps in protecting the early maturing of the skin on the face and other exposed body parts. It also brings a natural glow to the face and makes the skin soft and smooth.

Some possible ingredients in aloe vera lotions are jojoba oil, Lanolin and vitamin E, which add to the natural moisturizing effect. People with dry skin can apply aloe vera lotion to make the skin soft and elastic. For best results, a gentle face massage with an aloe vera lotion for about 10 minutes everyday gives it a natural glow.

Aloe Vera Face Powder

People with sensitive skin can apply aloe vera face powders in combination with other ingredients like cinnamon and silk powder. Assuming there are no harmful chemicals, artificial colors and fragrances, there would be no side effects. It will not block the pores on the face, will not cause irritation and will function as a natural sun block.

Aloe Vera and Sunburn

One of the most popular uses of aloe vera is for sunburn relief. People who suffer from sunburn should utilize aloe vera gel that contains liquid and which are derived from aloe vera leaves. The gel assists in healing the burns and acts as an antibacterial agent; it contains aloectin B, which helps to strengthen the immune system.
