A note about Vaginitis Symptoms and Signs

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

It is important that you try not to feel that way, because with proper care and treatment, you can overcome this issue quite readily. However, if vaginitis is not treated, it can last for much longer periods of time.

Here are some of the main vaginitis symptoms and signs to watch for.

Intense Itching Sensation

The most characteristic symptom of vaginitis is an itching sensation that can either be right inside the vagina or may feel as though it's just on the outside on the skin. This is typically present for the better part of the day and often is not relieved from simple scratching.

This proves to be incredibly embarrassing for those women who are infected, and is often the symptom that they find most intolerable.

Burning Feeling

In addition to the itching that you may be feeling, it's quite common to experience a high degree of burning as well. This vaginitis symptom can grow to be very uncomfortable and could be downright painful, depending on how severe you have it.

Pain During Intercourse

Women who are suffering from this condition often list pain during intercourse as another of the vaginitis symptoms that they experience. This may vary depending upon the progression of the condition and the two partners involved, so it's important to keep in mind that not everyone will experience this.

If you are getting a high degree of burning pain as well, then your chances will be much higher that you do experience this pain during intercourse too.

Vaginal Discharge

Vaginal discharge is another of the vaginitis symptoms that is quite common with most women. This could be a much greater amount of discharge that is secreted, or you may find that the volume is rather similar but there is variable smell. In other cases, it is the color of the discharge that varies.

Remember that it is normal for your discharge to change depending on the timing of your menstrual cycle, so what you're looking for here is a very abnormal pattern that is much different than what you would normally experience month to month.

Finally, the last symptom that you'll often experience is an unpleasant odor surrounding the vagina. This is often present regardless of whether there is a change in the discharge and is a signal that you're suffering from bacterial vaginosis. Usually, this odor can be described as 'fishy', so that's something to watch out for.

By taking the time to learn all the vaginitis symptoms and signs associated with this condition, you put yourself in a far better position to recognize when you are suffering from it and take action steps immediately to get on a good treatment program.

This discomfort doesn't have to carry on for long if you do proceed with treatment steps and discuss the issue with your health care practitioner if necessary.
