A note about Allergy Headaches - Discussion and Tips

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

These headaches can occur in a number of ways and be linked to a number of allergens, so there’s no one cure. However, before you give in to suffering for the rest of your life, know that there are things you can do to cope with allergy headaches.

Identify the Problem

Many doctors will tell you to pop a pill or use a nose spray everyday to help lessen the pain and make allergy headaches more bearable. While this does help with the pain, it only masks the symptoms and means that you have to be committed to this medication everyday for the rest of your life. That doesn’t seem like a viable option to many, so it may behoove you to zoom in on what the cause and the pattern of the headache is.

If, for example, you are experiencing these headaches at a certain time of year, then it’s quite possible that this is how your body reacts to the allergens in the air, such as pollen. If, however, you get what are known as “cluster headaches”, there can be a deeper cause to these than allergies.

Narrowing down the frequency and intensity of the headaches can help not only in your diagnosis, but also in your coping mechanism. Just as with anything else, charting your headaches in a journal can help you to get to the real cause and you may find that what you thought were allergy headaches are really a minor form of migraines - and that’s just one of many examples.

Natural Cure for Unbearable Pain

Before you reach for that aforementioned nose spray or medication, think about other options and natural remedies. The reality is that if you eliminate certain toxins or indirect triggers from your lifestyle, you may just find that the headaches all of a sudden disappear or lessen. Though you may not have food allergies directly, if you eliminate processed or fried foods that contain far too many chemicals and preservatives, you may find that the allergy headaches that you once suffered from and took for granted may vanish.

You can also seek some alternative methods for coping with these headaches, protocols which are quite effective and far less invasive than taking a medication every day.

Look to something like acupuncture which can zero in on the problem areas and may find that there is a blocked “zone” in your body that simply needs to be worked on. If you seek out such treatments, you may not only eliminate your headaches, but help other health conditions for which you may suffer as well.

In a practice such as acupuncture, you are dealing with the body as a whole, and you may find that there is a buildup of toxins or other substances that are contributing to your problem. So, before you reach for that nose spray or give up hope, consider identifying the real problem and finding a more natural way of dealing with it and ultimately healing it.
