Chiropractic Herniated Disc Treatment

Chiropractic herniated disc treatment first involves determining the problem areas, and then confirming diagnosis by testing posture and structure of the patient’s affected region.

Diagnosing the problems from a chiropractor’s viewpoint includes testing range of spinal joint motion, muscle movement and pelvic balance to establish if there is “short leg”.

A note about Chiropractic Herniated Disc Treatment

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. Taking these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of certain holistic remedies.

Diagnosing the problem might involve x-rays and MRI scans only if required.

Once the diagnosis has been confirmed and the exact nature of the problem has been established, chiropractors will prepare a formal treatment plan and the same will be administered in numerous sessions or repetitions.

If the herniated disc problem or injury is at an advanced stage because of which there are related complications like loss of bladder control etc, chiropractic herniated disc treatment will probably not be possible - chiropractors will not be treating the problem and will refer the case to hospitals as a medical emergency.

When disc problems do not fall into the emergency category and / or advanced neurological category, which is more often than not the case, chiropractors will initiate chiropractic treatment or care.

Since most herniated or slipped disc problems occur due to bulging of discs with pressure being added to the nerves or nerve roots, chiropractors will employ gentle chiropractic care through low force or extremely gentle movements of the spine, joints, and muscles to help release the pressure being added to nerves and move the disc back into its normal position.

There is, however, no speedy or quick procedure to help set the problem of herniated discs right since it is a critical and delicate condition.

Overall, chiropractors exercise extreme care and caution before initiating the chiropractic herniated disc procedure or treatment plan. If it is safe to provide chiropractic care from a neurological and orthopedic standpoint, then they will go ahead with traditional chiropractic treatment.

As far as chiropractic is concerned, generally speaking, irrespective of the disease condition, chiropractors will initially take the complete history, understand and analyze the problem from multiple angles and, based on results of various diagnostic tools including x-rays and scans if required, chiropractors will confirm the diagnosis.

Depending on the level of injury or advancement of the problem, chiropractors will treat the patient by employing traditional chiropractic treatment care, or refer him or her to an appropriate medical physician or surgeon.
