A note about Home Remedies for Wrinkles Prevention and Treatment
In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.
In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.
However, believe it or not, there are actually some wrinkles home remedies that can be just as effective for prevention and treating fine lines as those expensive creams that you see advertised on television.
When treating wrinkles, you want to focus on two things - hydration and increasing elasticity. You also want to promote the production of collagen, since that can help plump up the wrinkles and make them less noticeable. Over time, your body naturally stops producing as much collagen and elastin as it used to, and that's one of the reasons why wrinkles form in the first place.
So what are some simple and effective home remedies for wrinkles relief?
One of the best things that you can do for your skin is to drink plenty of water every day. So what constitutes "plenty of water?" At least 4 to 6 liters per day. This will not only help hydrate your skin, but will also help flush out harmful toxins which can cause premature aging.
You also have some other items in your kitchen that can act as home remedies for wrinkles treatment. Egg whites, for one thing, can help improve the fine lines that form under your eyes. Apply egg whites under your eyes 2 to 3 times per week. Let them dry and leave them on for about 15 minutes, then gently wash the area with warm water. You don't want to leave them on too long, or else your skin will begin to feel very tight and uncomfortable.
For home remedies for wrinkles, you can also purchase some vitamin E capsules and break them apart to get to the oil inside. Add 2 teaspoons of plain yogurt to the oil, as well as 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon of honey. Mix the ingredients together and then apply the mixture to your face. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.
Eating fruit can help you have a well-balanced diet. However, you can also use some fruit for your face as well, as home remedies for wrinkles. Grapes contain an antioxidant called proanthocyanidin which could be good in treating wrinkles. Cut a green seedless grape in half and rub the juice over your face. Let it dry and then leave it on for about 20 minutes.
Olive oil has been used to treat wrinkles for thousands of years, and is another of the possible home remedies for wrinkles. In fact, olive oil has a variety of uses. It contains antioxidants which can help the body fight off free radicals, and it contains vitamin E, too. You can try to consume more olive oil by cooking with it and adding it to your salad instead of using dressing, or you can apply it directly onto your face as well.
To use olive oil topically, you should first fill a bowl full of boiling water. Lean over the bowl and drape a towel over your head. Take care to not let your face touch the actual water. Let the steam wash over your skin for about 10 minutes, and then gently massage the olive oil into your damp skin. You don't want to apply too much to your skin, however, or else you risk your face becoming too oily.
What other home remedies for wrinkles treatment are there?
Grape seed extract also contains proanthocyanidin and alpha hydroxyl acids, which are commonly used in expensive anti wrinkle creams. Grape seed extract can be used the same way that grapes are. You can purchase capsules of grape seed extract and consume them orally. You can also use creams that contain the extract. Alternatively, you can purchase red grapes and process them in a blender. You can then apply the mixture to your face and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing.
