Acupuncture Cancer Treatment

There are a couple of main ways in which using acupuncture cancer treatment for cancer patients can bring benefits.

Firstly, studies indicate that acupuncture treatment decreases the amount of pain suffered by patients suffering from cancer. This will help the patients to go off pain medication or decrease the dosage of pain medication.

Similarly, studies also suggest that acupuncture reduces nausea and vomiting in cancer patients post chemotherapy. It has been found to be extremely effective in decreasing vomiting when compared to nausea.

Other associated symptoms of cancer and cancer treatment that acupuncture provides relief from include persistent cough, chest pain, anxiety, night sweats, dry mouth, depression, and fluid retention in the upper and lower extremities.

Findings show that patients suffering breast cancer also benefited from acupuncture treatment by experiencing high energy levels, increased sex drive, and also an increased sense of wellness.

Acupuncture cancer treatment during various stages of the disease

In situations where there is early detection of cancer, acupuncture for cancer treatment can control and facilitate regular and normal body functioning. In advanced stages of cancer, acupuncture could be used along with other forms of cancer treatment to decrease the sensation to pain. This will help them decrease their pain medication intake, thereby reducing the levels of toxicity caused by pain medication.

Thus, depending upon the stage of cancer and in an attempt to provide pain relief and relief from associated symptoms of cancer and side effects arising from the treatment of cancer, a supplementary acupuncture cancer treatment could be considered.

Do note that, generally, we do not endorse the conventional cancer therapies of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. They only target the tumor, and totally fail to address the various causes and circumstances leading to the development of cancer. Even then, their results are miserably poor.
