A note about Health Benefits of Saunas - Introduction and Overview

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. Taking these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of certain holistic remedies.

In ancient times, saunas were pits dug into an embankment that used wood fire to heat stones that emitted steam. Today, saunas are technologically advanced, with access to better materials, better resources, and a greater understanding of sauna benefits, making sauna baths very popular across the globe.

Today, many new techniques and methodologies are being developed to build and operate state-of-the-art saunas, with automatic temperature control. These are called sauna baths, and the temperature of steam is controlled by user.

The technique of sauna baths involves an increase in the dry heat generated within a sauna to about 185 degrees Fahrenheit, which pumps up the temperature to about 104 degrees Fahrenheit within a span of a few minutes.

This causes profound effects on the body with the sauna user producing about a pint of sweat during the experience, with the pulse rate accelerating to about 30% higher than normal causing the heart to double the volume of blood pumped per minute. This causes blood to rush to the skin surface and away from internal organs. Also, there may be unpredictable spikes to blood pressure or a fall in some.

A sauna bath has certain specific benefits that a user is looking for such as opening of pores on skin and flushing out toxins from the body, especially impurities from the circulating blood. Indeed, sauna detox is one of the most important benefits of sauna usage.

Now this may sound simple, however, there are certain aspects to sauna baths that make it necessary that this experience be supervised by a certified practitioner for the amateur user.

The health benefits of saunas are backed by scientific evidence. Studies and research that have been conducted by health care institutes report that sauna baths do offer health benefits such as detoxification, stress relief and weight loss, among a host of other benefits.

In addition, saunas also stimulate the immune system as well as kill harmful micro-organisms in the body.
