A note about Natural Remedies for Shingles Relief

In natural health and healing, we believe in holistic health and healing, as we realize that different parts of the human body are highly interlinked, often beyond Man's understanding. We also believe that the body has the ability to heal itself of any disease, even supposedly incurable diseases.

In order to do so, the body needs the support of some basic dietary and lifestyle good health habits, such as a full body detox and a proper understanding and application of nutrition. No matter how remote or unrelated a health condition may seem, these fundamental health steps will greatly magnify the effects and benefits of any of our health-promoting efforts, including the use of specific natural health remedies.

And this applies whether you’re lucky and you’ve only got a mild case of the disease, only showing signs of the shingles rash, or if you wind up with other, more severe symptoms of this condition.

When you are looking for natural shingles remedies, it’s important to remember that not all of them will work for you. The key is to find the natural remedies for shingles that help you, and to stick to them in order to heal with less pain and more speed.

There are lots of different things you can try for your shingles, but it’s important to take a whole body approach when doing so. Work with immune boosting internal remedies and combine them with topical natural remedies for shingles for the best results.

Topical Shingles Remedies

Here are some suggested natural remedies for shingles which can be applied topically to the rash.

  • Plain yogurt and zinc oxide applied along the path of the nerve before blisters break out is said to help to greatly reduce pain and severity associated with shingles rash.

  • Consider a solution of aloe, raw honey and leek juice to help you to ease the pain of shingles rash.

  • Mix vitamin E oil, peppermint tea and apple cider vinegar together. Gently sponge it onto your rash for relief.

  • Make a paste of French clay, water and a couple of drops of tea tree oil. Apply to the rash, wrap with gauze and leave on for a couple of hours to heal your rash. You can repeat this procedure a couple of times daily.

  • Try hydrogen peroxide on your rash occasionally to help dry it out.

  • Consider mashing up two aspirin with some Vaseline lotion. The aspirin will help to soothe your pain. There are other takes on this remedy, such as mixing alcohol with aspirin, but these may be too harsh for you, so it depends on how badly your rash hurts.

  • Consider taking a warm bath and adding oatmeal to the water for shingles relief.

Remedies for Consumption

You should also consider natural remedies for shingles which are to be consumed.

Since there are many complications that can arise with shingles, including long term nerve pain and muscle weakness, if you discover that you have this ailment, it’s important that you make sure your immune system is strong so that you will be less likely to suffer these more severe symptoms.

  • Eat pineapples and papayas, as they contain enzymes that have shown to be helpful in reducing the severity of the shingles virus.

  • Take vitamin E and vitamin C for their immune boosting and antioxidant properties.

  • Consider taking Lysine, which is an amino acid that has been shown to reduce the severity and duration of shingles.

  • Incorporate immune boosting workouts, such as tai chi, if you feel okay, and make it a point to eat lots of immune boosting foods that will help you to keep your shingles reaction to a minimum.

With the use of appropriate and useful natural remedies for shingles treatment, you would probably find that you endure less severe symptoms, as well as enjoy a quicker healing process.
