In fact, these substances are actually rather poisonous.

  • Secondly, to the extent possible, one is to eliminate the use of chemical household cleaners, cosmetic and personal hygiene products, such as soaps, deodorants, perfumes, body sprays, creams, shampoos, etc, that are chemical based. These should ideally be substituted with natural products. Our bodies are organic system; artificial chemicals do not go well with them, and they add to our bodies’ toxin load.

  • Thirdly, one of main toxin building factors, besides those mentioned above, is stress. Stress is responsible for the release of hormones in the body that slow down the detoxification enzymes which function in the liver. Embarking on a serious detoxification program involves eliminating stressful life situations, along with the physical detoxification of the body. One of the easiest ways is to take up the regular practice of yoga and meditation which helps over a period of time to bring about calmness and balance in the manner in which you will deal with the inevitable stressful conditions that life will present.

    These body detoxification methods are very basic and should form the foundation of any solid cleansing and detox program. In fact, they should form a part of any natural and healthful lifestyle.
